1. Football / Soccer

Football or Soccer is no doubt the most popular sport on the earth and is played worldwide and every human in this globe is familiar with this game. Football is a short version game not consumed too much time, the game is over in 90 minutes and 45 minutes for each half. Each team has 11 players and is played with a ball and players used their feet. It is estimated that there are more than 250 million active players of this game in over 200 countries on the globe and 3.5 Billion followers
Basic Rules of Football
There are a few basic rules to playing football. Number 1 is the field of play in which the game was played its size should be in between the standard and official size of the ground. The official size is 50 to 100 yards wide while 100 to 130 yards long. Number 2 is the ball for which the game was played. the weight and the size of the ball should be within the standard range i.e. the circumference should not be more than 70cm (28 ins) and not less than 68cm (27 ins) and the weight should not be more than 450g (16 oz) and should not less than 410g (14 oz). Number 3 is the number of players. The football’s official rules say that the players should not be more than 11 including the goalkeeper and three substitutions are allowed in official games. Number 4 is the equipment of the players. The main necessary and basic equipments are the jersey or shirt with sleeves, stocks, shorts, shin guards, and footwear. Both teams must have different colors of jerseys and the goalkeeper wears the color which distinguishes him from the other team members. Number 5 is the referee and assistant referee. The referee is the most important person who controls the game and enforces the rules of the game. There is one main referee who is on the field and most time runs with the ball and two sideline referees are also there to assist him. Number 6 is the duration of the match. The standard duration of the match is 90 minutes of 45 minutes halves and in between two halves, there is a 15 minutes break. Number 7 is the start and restart of play. The play started in each period with the kick-off which is taken from the center point of the field. The play stops each time when the ball goes out of the ground. if it crossed the sideline then a through is allowed. When a team scored a goal then a goal kick is awarded to the team to whom the goal was scored. Number 8 Ball in and out of play. The ball is considered to be in the play unless it crosses the sideline or goal line. Number 9 is Scoring the goal. A goal is scored by a free kick, penalty or through the head, or even own goal by the defending team. Number 10 is offsides rules. the basic rule of offside is that at least there should be one defender excluding the goalkeeper. Number 11 fouls and misconducts. The simple rule of play is when the ball is in play and a player deliberately attacked the opponent instead of aiming to obtain the ball. Number 12 Free kicks and penalty kicks. Free kicks are of two types direct free kicks and indirect free kicks. An indirect free kick is can’t be taken toward the goal while a penalty kick is a direct kick which is resulted in a severe foul of a defender within twenty-five yards. Number 13 is the throw-in. A throw-in is awarded to the opposing team when the ball crosses the sideline. Number 14 is the goal kick. When a goal is scored then a goal kick is awarded to the defending team. Number 15 is the corner kick. The corner kick is awarded when the ball crossed the goal line after deflection of the defender. The kick is taken from the corner of the ground the side in which the ball is crossed the goal line.

Cricket is the second most popular sport in the world after football. The game is played in over 100 countries across the world and has more than 2.5 Billion followers. Although the game of cricket is a time-consuming sport even then a lot of people around the world follow this game.

Here we discuss the few basic rules of the game. Number 1 is The players. Every team has 11 players including a captain. Number 2 is the Umpires. The bat should not be more than 38 inches in length (96.52cm) and 4.25 inches wide (10.8cm) and not more than 2.65 inches deep (6.7cm) and the bat’s middle should not be deeper than 1.56 inches (4.0cm) at the edge. The hand and the handle of the bat are considered part of the bat. Number 6 is the Pitch. The shape of the pitch is rectangular and the size is 22 yards (20.12m) in length and 10ft (3.05m) wide. Number 7 is the creases. There are two creases the batting crease and the bowling crease. the size of the bowling crease is 8ft and 8inc(2.64m)in length from the center of the middle stamp from each end. Number 8 is the wickets. the tree’s wooden stumps on each end have a height of 28 inches (71.12cm). Number 9 is the preparation and maintenance of the playing area. Number 10 is the covering of the pitch. Number 11 is the Intervals. Number 12 is the start of play.

Hockey is another sport that is popular all over the world and estimated that globally two Billion peoples follow this game. Hockey is played in a few formats such as field hockey which is the old shape of hockey and is very popular and played on ground natural grass nowadays played on artificial grass which is called AstroTurf. Ice hockey is played on a flat area of ice between two teams of skaters. Para Ice hockey is a kind of ice hockey but it is designed for special people (physically disabled persons) roller hockey, rink hockey, or floor hockey.

Tennis is a very popular sport as it has more than 1 billion followers all over the world. Tennis is a racket sport that is played by an individual player or double player. Players use tennis rackets strung with cords that strike the hollow rubber ball. the famous is lawn tennis. Tennis has four grand slam tournaments which are played on different courts. The Australian Open is played on hard courts. The French Open is played on a red clay court. Wimbledon played on grass courts and the US Open also played on hardcourts

Badminton is also a very popular sport in the world has 950 million followers and is a racquet sport played with a shuttle cock like tennis, it is also played by individual players or double players on each side and it is also played as mixed-sex like tennis. The court of badminton is rectangular and divided into two halves. the full width of the court is 20 feet and in single it is reduced to 17 feet. The racquets. The racquets are normally lightweight and high quality and weigh between 70 to 95 grams. The racquets are netted with high-quality strings.
6. Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport which is played between two teams and each team has six players and the team tries to score a point by grounding the ball to the opponent half. The game is very popular all over the world and is played in the summer Olympics as well. The court size is 9m into 18m (29.5 ft into 59.2 ft) and divided into two equal squares. The net top of the net is 2.43 m (7ft 11 inches). The ball is made of leather and has a circumference of 65 to 67 cm and a weight is 260 to 280 grams. The score a point is scored when the ball hit the ground within the court of the opponent team or a team made a mistake. There are two types of games played one is called shooting and the other is smashing. 7. Basketball

Basketball is also a team sport comprising five players each side played on a rectangular court with the object to basket the ball to the opponent’s posts. Baseball is a bat and ball sport that is played between two teams and each team has nine players. The player on the fielding team is called the pitcher through the ball to the batting team. Baseball is played word wide but is most commonly played in America and East Asia. The players of the baseball have the following equipment. baseball, baseball bat, baseball gloves, batting helmet, and catcher’s gear.
10. Golf

Golf is a club and ball sport. The players use various clubs to hit the ball and place it into the holes. The courses normally have 18 or 9 holes each hole must contain a teeing ground to start from. Normally golf is played on long grass but there are various hazards like water, rocks, bunkers, etc.
